Hi,
I might be going to Denver Colorado for a week in September. I'll be staying downtown in the mariot on the 16th street mall. I was just wondering how easy that area is to get around. I'm going there for a business convention and will be busy most of the day but I do plan to exercise the pup as much as possible. I just like to have an idea about an area before I travel there. especially going alone like this.
That area is very easy to get around in my opinion. Being around the 16th street, there's the 16th street shuttle which is free. Also, the Denver Metro area has a pretty extensive bus system and lightrail system. The busses stop some of the less used routs around 10:30 at night, but the lightrail runs until 2:00 or 3:00 if I recall correctly. Not sure how late the free 16th street shuttles run, but I'd imagine at least as long as the busses. The 16th street mall is also a pretty busy area of town, pedestrianwise, and at least a lot of that area, the streets are blocked to traffic except for the shuttles. Hope that helps some.
Hi, I don't live in Denver, but I'm from Colorado and I've been to Denver tons of times. The 16th street mall is kind of cool. I haven't taken the shuttle or the light rail, but as has already been said you shouldn't have much trouble. There are some historical sites near 16th street if I remember correctly that might be cool to check out. The last time I was in Denver, it was for a Police concert and we didn't spend much time there. It's a fun city to visit though.
Another way to get some answers, if you feel like taking the time, is to do a profile search by location and send PM's with specific questions to zoners you find from Colorado. HTH
